Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems

More commonly known as Drones.

Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) have emerged as a useful tool for photography, videography, and mapping. Did you know that all RPAS over 250 grams are viewed by Transport Canada as aircraft, and thus are subject to the same rules and regulations as most traditional aircraft?

Did you know Transport Canada requires drone pilots flying an aircraft over 250 grams to hold a license? Did you also know every pilot is required by law to complete a refresher course every 24 months? This course is tailored to those who already operate RPAS under either the Basic or Advanced Operators license. Here we provide an update on the current rules and regulations for RPAS operators in Canada, while providing a refresher on important aviation background knowledge.

In this course you will cover the key areas of aviation required by drone pilots operating in Canada.
